Bokeh

Bokeh (japanese term) is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in the out-of-focus parts of an image produced by a lens. Bokeh has been defined as "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light".

I use the shape batman bokeh made by my classmate in this
shot, just perfect for batman as my subject.

For me this is my favorite shot, i also use the batman shape bokeh made by my classmate but it does not look like one because it does not fit for the camera lens that i used.

I used diamond shape for this one but not perfectly
shaped diamond that's why it looks like that.

What I Learned. . . .

What did you learn from basic Photography?
I learned a lot, like how to use rule of thirds, portrait lighting, panorama, food photography, Exposure triangle and how to post process your image in Photoshop and create a layout for my photo album. Besides that i also learned to accept negative criticism because in that way i will know where i can improve my skills in photography which is the most important i learned.

What can you improve?
I think i will improve more my camera angle shot, shooting videos and dealing with the light.

Suggestion
If possible i want to shoot outside the school and shoot panorama.

Five Best Shots

In our Food Photography i have learned how to add some light effects, the most important thing in Food Photography is your food subject should look delicious. The brand of camera that i used in this images is Sony.

I chose this shot because i like cupcakes and for me its easy to take
an image of it because they are just round shaped in any angle.

In this angle my light source is from the back top right.

Shutter speed: 1/60
ISO: 1600
Aperture: f/5.6

Then i try to partner it with chocolate and biscuits.
In this angle my light source is from the back top.

Shutter speed: 1/60
ISO: 1600
Aperture: f/5.6

This one is brought by my classmate and it tastes very delicious
it is a buttered potato partner with a delicious sauce and a lemon on
the side.

In this angle my light source is from side left slightly from the side top left.

Shutter speed: 1/40
ISO: 400
Aperture: f/5.6

This one is my favorite shot because of the light effect and the color of the
background is so cool which looks like the weather is slightly raining which
i like also.

In this angle my light source is from the side top left.

Shutter speed: 1/60
ISO: 200
Aperture: f/5.6

This one is a portrait which is also my favorite. I took the shot from the side
to try some different angle of the subject and it turns out great.

In this angle my light source is from the side top left.

Shutter speed: 1/80
ISO: 400
Aperture: f/5.6

Portrait Lighting

Split lighting  it splits the face exactly into equal halves with one side being in the light, and the other in shadow.
Loop lightingis made by creating a small shadow of the subjects noses on their cheeks.
Rembrandt lightingRembrandt lighting is so named because the Rembrandt the painter often used this pattern of light in his paintings. Rembrandt lighting is identified by the triangle of light on the cheek.
Butterfly lightingnamed for the butterfly shaped shadow that is created under the nose by placing the main light source above and directly behind the camera.

Here are my example shots.

Exposure Triangle

It is important that you can control the light in photography, Mastering this three which is the Shutter speed, Aperture and ISO your image output would be excellent.

Shutter speed
Shutter speed-the amount of time the shutter is open, A camera's shutter determines when the camera sensor will be open or closed to incoming light from the camera lens. The shutter speed specifically refers to how long this light is permitted to enter the camera. the faster shutter speed means a shorter exposure time.

Aperture
Aperture-the size of the opening in the lens when a picture is taken. A camera's aperture setting controls the area over which light can pass through your camera lens.It also determines a photo's depth of field(the range of distance over which objects appear in sharp focus).

ISO
ISO-the measure of a digital camera sensor's sensitivity to light. It increases or decreases the exposure depends on how much exposure 100, 200, 400 and 800 depends on your camera. However the higher the value of the ISO it also increases image noise.
